The Church Giving to Others

Local Mission Our Congregation supports: The Clarinda Academy - Cuddleblankets for incoming girls. (see pictures below) The Nodaway Valley Free Clinic - Health and Spiritual care for those in need at no cost. Faith, Food and Fellowship - Sunday Night Suppers for those hungry for food or fellowship. The Clarinda Area Ministerial Alliance - Emergency assistance for those in need. Children's Square - Council Bluffs, Ia. serving the needs of children and families.

Global Mission Our Congregation supports: Alice Winters - professor at the Reformed Seminary in Columbia. Witnessing Ministries of Christ (India) Reformed Seminary, Colombia, SA Mission Connections - Andres and Gloria Garcia in Bata, Guinea Equatorial AFRICA Southern Christian College - educating tomorrow's pastoral leaders in the Philippines. Medical Benevolence Foundation - A PCUSA mission meeting health care needs around the world.

Jesus Christ summed up for us what we are to be about:  loving God, and loving our neighbors (Matthew 22:37-40). The people of Trinity Church are actively involved in both.  One way we show our neighbors that we love them is through the “Cuddle Blanket” program. Each month a new class of teens enters the Clarinda Academy, a program for adjudicated youth, and our church is right there with them through the cuddle blankets. The church-women make quilts and take them to the Academy girls once a month. The women meet the girls, exchange warm smiles, handshakes, and of course, the cuddle blankets. Each girl receives with the blanket a pamphlet, telling them about God’s love and a hopeful future for them. The blankets are a reminder to each girl that God loves them and that Trinity Church cares.
